Following a raft of complaints about the latest England national game only being aired on Setanta, CentreForum (backed by Virgin Media) have revealed that fans are missing out because they cannot afford the premiums for watching some matches.
86% of supporters do not subscribe because of the prohibitive price, this equates to 6 million UK football fans. The report stated that even more felt excluded from the game due to a lack of live access. 77% said that they wanted to watch more live sport but couldn’t because of a lack of access.
This is likely to become a high profile subject as we’re only at the very start of the season.
