As far as the mobile phone industry goes there can be few companies with a profile which can match that of Orange. Now part of the enormous France Telecom group, Orange are venturing into the broadband market, a leap which was always on the cards and is proving to be rather lucrative.

Orange Broadband has a number of packages available to the market and it will be no surprise to see that a number of these are bundled together with their mobile phone services. However, they also offer an array of stand alone agreements which are proving very popular.

It will be interesting to see how Orange Broadband progress in the market because they had some thing of a rocky start but have recovered of late. The main benefit for the company is the ready made customer base which is all ready in place with many looking for broadband services. The industry is cut throat and parent company France Telecom appears to be making a play for the top tier of broadband services in the UK.
