While O2 Broadband has been one of the success stories of the UK mobile phone market, the company is building up a good reputation in the broadband services market. The move to broadband services is something which was obvious when you consider the millions of customers who already use O2 services.

Interestingly O2 is now part of the Telefonica Group of companies after the multi billion pound takeover in 2006. This has not only given the company a firmer base for its UK operations, but it has also given the O2 division access to substantial investment capital for the future. This funding will be vital if the Company is to continue to challenge the leaders in the UK on both the mobile and broadband fronts.
