It would appear that low-cost telephone charges and value for money broadband services have seen TalkTalk Broadband increase its share of the UK broadband market with an additional 42,000 new broadband customers in the first quarter of 2010. The company now has around 4.2 million subscribers in the UK and is currently the fastest growing broadband provider.
The company reported a 21.7% increase in first-quarter turnover which now stands at £1.69 billion with further growth expected during the remainder of 2010. Charles Dunstone, the chairman of TalkTalk Broadband, has targeted up to 180,000 new broadband subscribers for the whole of 2010 which would be very impressive in the current economic climate. So what does the future hold for TalkTalk Broadband?
The company seems to offer everything which UK consumers require including cheap broadband, fast broadband as well as an array of telephone deals. The ability for customers to upgrade in a matter of seconds is obviously attractive to those who wish to stay with a reliable and value for money broadband and telephone provider. If the company is able to hit targets for 2010 this will be very impressive especially against the difficult economic backdrop.
