One of the more successful marketing tools used in the UK broadband industry over the last few years has been that of the “bundled” package which can often include telephone, Internet and TV services. The ability for companies such as Sky, Virgin and BT to bundle together a number of services at a rate which is significantly less than their individual cumulative total has caught the eye of many in the UK. But should you really look to bundle your services into one package?
While on the surface the bundle option may look perfect for everybody you have to consider your total telephone use, Internet use and TV requirements. If you can break these particular elements down and associate a cost for say one quarter and an annual basis you will be able to see if the sum of the parts is more than the overall bundle package you are looking at. Do not fall into the trap of over extending your finances with a bundled package if for example you do not require additional telephone services or perhaps you are happy with a basic TV package.
The vast majority of families in the UK may well benefit from bundling their packages together but you also need to be aware of your financial constraints.
