After a period of uncertainty and disappointment it appears that Yahoo! is back with the rebirth of Yahoo! Mobile. While Google and Microsoft have dominated the mobile Internet market for some time the sleeping giant of Yahoo! is stirring again. The company has relaunched its Yahoo! Mobile service which is now bigger and better than ever before.

Yahoo! has managed to force the vast majority of their Internet services into Yahoo! Mobile along with the option for users to heavily customise their own displays. The service is available across a range of HTML enabled mobile phone browsers which currently cover around 300 different phone variations. The likes of Yahoo! oneSearch, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! oneConnect and Yahoo! onePlace are all available to the growing band of mobile Internet broadband users.

The company itself has been under pressure for some time having been on the verge of a merger with MSN on a number of occasions and having jumped into, and then out of, bed with Google on a significant advertising program. There are hopes that this is a turning point for Yahoo! and the large army of shareholders and customers who have suffered greatly over the years. Finally it seems that we may have serious competition for Google which can only be good news for mobile Internet broadband users.
