As broadband speeds continue to improve up and down the UK, there is a feeling in some areas that Internet TV will at some stage be integrated within the traditional TV sector or ultimately overshadow this particular area of entertainment. However, despite the fact that millions upon millions of pounds have been poured into what is known as IPTV there is still some concern that many traditional TV viewers will not be willing to move online in the short to medium term.

Despite the heavy investment into broadband connectivity across the UK there is no doubt there is still some scepticism with regards to spyware, malware and general malicious threats which continue to hit the headlines on a regular basis. Unfortunately the publicity given to online fraud could give the impression that this particular area of deception is more commonplace than off-line fraud, when in reality it could not be further from the truth.

While there are issues with regards to the cost of IPTV, the cost of equipment and broadband connections, the main hurdle for IPTV companies will be changing the mindset of traditional TV viewers. Once they have cracked this particular problem, the sky is literally the limit!
