TalkTalk Broadband has today grabbed the headlines after finally revealing one of the most bizarre marketing programs the world has ever known!
Unbeknown to commuters around London, TalkTalk has recruited a number of former pickpockets but this time they are “put pockets”. Their task is to slip £5 notes into the pockets of unsuspecting commuters as well as a TalkTalk branded card which they will hopefully find when they get home. It would appear that the London police force are aware of the situation, the names of the ex-criminals and appear to have given the marketing ploy the go-ahead.
Even though the scheme has received some criticism over the last 24 hours, after it was revealed to the wider press, the so-called “put pocket” gangs have not yet been rumbled and nobody knows exactly who they are. While this must go down as one of the most bizarre and potentially most controversial of marketing schemes, there is no doubt that everybody is now talking about TalkTalk Broadband, which at the end of the day is exactly what the company wanted!
TalkTalk Broadband has been very proactive on the marketing front over the last couple of weeks as the brand is pushed further and further into the spotlight in what is now a very competitive and very crowded UK broadband sector.
