As an Internet revolution continues to roll around the world many businesses are looking towards their Internet services and wondering exactly how they would survive without it. Over the last few years our dependence upon the World Wide Web has continued to grow with more and more businesses moving “online” to reduce their costs as much as possible. Would your business really survive without the Internet?

The Internet has for many businesses in the UK opened up markets around the world which they could only have dreamt of in the past. However, it has also increased competition to a level which was unheard of before the introduction of the World Wide Web. While there is no doubt that businesses without an online presence will not have exposure to the same array of potential customers as those trading online, but then again maybe they are able to retain more control and ensure their business is not overrun.

There are pros and cons to online exposure, although even a contact page alerting potential customers to your presence can be enough to attract new business. The Internet is most certainly here to stay and as we move towards superfast landline broadband and mobile broadband, the opportunities for more astute businesses continue to grow.
