As the UK broadband sector becomes more and more competitive we have seen a gradual reduction in the length of broadband contracts. While there are still a number of 18 month and 12 month contracts available, we are seeing more and more broadband operators in the UK releasing pay-as-you-go contracts and month by month contracts. However, it seems that fewer and fewer people are using the significant reduction in contract lengths to test the market and move broadband providers.
Many people seem to view their broadband provider as they do their regular bank, with fewer and fewer people looking to move on to better rates and better services. The sector continues to develop and grow at a significant pace with increased speeds, reduced costs and special add-ons becoming available on a regular basis. The process of transferring between broadband providers is also far simpler today with your new broadband provider highly likely to look after the “paperwork” and behind-the-scenes transfer.
Quite literally we are seeing millions upon millions of pounds “wasted” simply by not taking up the latest offers and latest services. There are also ways and means of centralising your e-mail communications, no matter which broadband provider use, which has in the past been a substantial worry for many. The transfer process has never been easier and the benefits have never been as great.
