The emergence of the mobile broadband market was always on the cards and it seems as though everybody wants a slice of the action in order to position themselves for the future. Target Components, one of the U.K.’s leading IT trade-distribution companies, has announced a deal with 3 mobile which will see the group supply 3 mobile broadband starter packs, which are sure to prove very popular in the future.

The packs will consist of a dongle, which will be loaded with 3 mobile broadband credit, but more importantly for 3 mobile broadband and Target Components this will allow both companies to attack the mobile broadband laptop sector which is proving very lucrative at the moment. While 3 mobile broadband has been the first recipient of an approach from Target Components, it looks as though there may be more deals to follow for the IT components group.

For many years experts had forecast that media and online companies would merge together although few had seen the close relationship between broadband providers and computer manufacturers developing so quickly. It is vital to find the quickest route to market and make broadband and mobile broadband as accessible as possible in order to try and grab new customers at the bottom rung of the computer and broadband ladder. 3 mobile broadband seems to have a head start on its competitors, but for how long?
