Be broadband has this week announced a significant increase in the sign up offer available to new customers. Those looking to sign-up for 12 months will now receive a £48 voucher which they can spend at Amazon, a doubling of the original £24 voucher. This is the latest attempt by Be broadband to increase its profile in what is becoming an ever more crowded UK broadband arena.

Those looking to take advantage of the increased offer need to enter the promotional code “24OfferBTC1″ when signing up. While all three Be broadband packages are available on 12 month contracts the Unlimited broadband and the Pro broadband packages are available on three month rolling contracts for an additional £2.50 a month. The top speed now available through Be broadband is a very impressive 24 Mb per second which compares very favourably with the best of the rest in the UK broadband market.

It seems as though many of the U.K.’s leading broadband providers are attempting slightly different strategies in order to attract the attention of UK broadband users. There is the potential for this to squeeze some of the smaller players out of the market, unless they are able to respond, and reduce competition which will ultimately be to the detriment of UK broadband users as a whole.
